The law governing the relationship between employers and employees probably has seen a greater number of changes in recent years than any other area of English law. Much of it is not easy to read; and there is no sign of any end to the increasing involvement of the State in the employment relationship.
We are able to advise employers as to their overall approach to the employment relationship, perhaps drafting contracts of employment; assisting with plans for the future, perhaps including the taking over of another company; advising on issues that may have arisen – perhaps disciplinary or grievance issues, or redundancies or employment tribunals.
Many employment relationships end either in a Compromise Agreement or an Employment Tribunal Application. We have the experience required to deal with both. By law, Compromise Agreements require the employee to seek legal advice, and this we undertake on a very frequent basis.
