If you find yourself in a dispute with an individual or a business and are finding it difficult to resolve matters, we can help you.
The small claims Court deals with disputes where the amount claimed is £10,000 or less, and the Court will allocate them to the Small Claims Track. The most common types of claim in this track are:
- Compensation for faulty services provided by builders, garages etc.
- Compensation for faulty goods supplied, for example washing machines or televisions
- Disputes between landlord and tenants – rent arrears or compensation for not doing repairs
- Money owed by customers for goods or services they have received
The idea behind the small claims track is that an individual can make a claim without instructing solicitors. However, this can be a challenging and daunting experience, especially as there are certain legal procedures that need to be followed and documents which need to be prepared. It is important that these steps are taken correctly to ensure the final Court hearing goes as smoothly as possible, and also to increase your chances of success.
Whether you need assistance with preparing the Claim Form or Defence or filing Witness Statements, or would like an experienced litigator to run the case for you, we can help and support you. It is sensible to take the advice of experienced solicitors who are familiar with the Court process.
We know from experience that this process can be time-consuming and complicated. We also understand that life can be busy and other matters just take over. In order to have the best possible chance of winning, let us take the stress and we will deal with it as quickly and efficiently as possible whilst ensuring costs are kept to a minimum. We will keep your best interests in mind at all times.
If you have any questions or wish to discuss any of the topics above, please contact Robert Syms at email@example.com or write or telephone if you prefer.
